Quaker humanitarian work in Germany dates back more than a century. Feeding programs and reconstruction efforts following both WW1 and WWII left a deep and lasting reservoir of goodwill toward Quakers among the German, French, and Spanish communities they served – a legacy we carry forward today.

Alliance of Friends Service Committee Germany e.V. was founded in Berlin on 23 March 2026, with initial support from the American Friends Service Committee. As a newly registered German association, we are building our own programs, staff, and governance in close consultation with German and European Friends and civil society partners.
